Veronica Tilotta is a Post-doctoral researcher in the Laboratory for Regenerative Orthopaedic at Campus Bio-Medico University (UCBM), who has just concluded her PhD fellowship in Integrated Biomedical Sciences and Bioethics in 2023. Her actual research has the orthoregeneration as focal point, with a growing attention for the development of innovative strategies based on the use of extracellular vesicles and secretome derived mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) as potential cell-free therapies for the intervertebral disc degeneration. Currently, she submitted 8 papers in international peer-reviewed journals with an h-index=5 and 27 citations. Moreover, Veronica was recognized with several awards, including the European Orthopaedic Research Society (EORS) Exchange Travel Grant (2024), MOVE EUROPEAN MOBILITY FELLOWSHIPS 2023 granted by EVIta (Società italiana per le vescicole extracellulari), Biology New Investigator Oral Presentation Award (2023), ON/EORS Education Grant for attending the EORS 2023 Annual Meeting, COMBIVET and Baltic Society of Extracellular vesicles Joint Summer Scholarship at Estonian University of Life Sciences in Tartu (2022), Young Investigator under 35 for Best Oral Presentation (preclinical research) at 22th IORS – Italian Orthopaedic Research Society Congress in Bologna Instituto Ortopedico Rizzoli, (2022), Best New Investigators’ Oral Presentation (Biology), at 29th Annual Meeting EORS 2021, EORS 2020 Registration Grant (2020).
