Cristina Freitas Pereira, is a physician, specialized in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) and mainly dedicated to spinal pathology. She coordinates the Department of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine at CUF Porto Hospital in Portugal since 2010. She is also Technical Director of the Department of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine at Clínica Médica Arrifana de Sousa, Paredes, Portugal since 2007. She has Post-Graduations in Contemporaneous Acupuncture, Sports Medicine, and Climatology and Hydrology. In 2021 she completed the EuroSpine Diploma in Interprofessional Spine Care.

Cristina Pereira is member of the Education Committee of Spine 20, an advocacy group dedicated to improve spine care globally and to bring recommendations to the governments, particularly of the G20 countries.

Additionally, she is author / co-author of over 50 presentations in national and international scientific meetings and also a participant and member of organizing committees of national and international scientific meetings.
